Hi, I’m Jen!

I started Jen’s Pet Care/Tails of the Fleurieu in 2022 after years of volunteering with various animal-based organisations, knowing my dream was to work with animals. Since then, I have gained extensive experience with various species, breeds, sizes, and temperaments, completed the Karen Pryor Academy Dog Training Foundations course, and am soon to complete the Karen Pryor Academy Professional Dog Training Program, focusing on maintaining a happy state of mind in animals throughout the training process through positive reinforcement.

I have a big soft spot for herding breeds, in particular Border Collies, with their affectionate yet cheeky nature, high drive, and knack for outsmarting their handlers!

With three snakes and a Bearded Dragon at home, I have a unique interest in some of Australia’s less popular pets! As someone who owns these animals, I know exactly how hard it can be to find someone compassionate who understands that our unusual companions are not just animals but a part of our families to take care of them. To fill this gap, I am now offering exotic pet visits for various species, including snakes, lizards, birds, rabbits, rats, fish, and more!
